Zinc Spray for Treatment of Acrodermatitis Enteropathica: A Case Report

    This case report discusses a 5-month-old infant with acrodermatitis enteropathica, a rare disorder caused by zinc deficiency, characterized by perioral dermatitis, diarrhea, and alopecia. The infant, who had been on total parenteral nutrition since birth, presented with these symptoms. The report highlights an atypical treatment approach where clinical improvement was achieved using zinc spray and zinc cream, differing from traditional methods documented in the literature.
