November 2025 in “Healthcare” This study evaluated the efficacy of combining oral isotretinoin with a 675 nm red-light laser for treating acne vulgaris in 13 young patients. Participants were divided into two groups: one receiving only laser treatment and the other receiving both laser and isotretinoin. Over six weekly sessions, both groups showed improvement in acne severity, as measured by the Acne Radar Questionnaire and the Global Evaluation Acne scale. The combination therapy group experienced more rapid and pronounced clinical improvement. The treatment was well-tolerated, with mild pain reported and no adverse events or discontinuations. The study concludes that the 675 nm laser is a safe and effective treatment for acne, with enhanced outcomes when combined with isotretinoin.
