Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS), also known as Constriction Band Syndrome, is a condition that occurs when fibrous bands of the amniotic sac entangle parts of the fetus, restricting blood flow and affecting development. This can lead to a range of complications, from minor constrictions to severe deformities or even amputations of limbs.
