September 2024 in “Pharmaceuticals” The study investigates the analgesic effects of human placenta hydrolysate (HPH) on CFA-induced inflammatory pain in mice. Over 28 days, mice were administered CFA to induce pain and then treated with varying doses of HPH. Results showed that HPH, particularly at doses of 200 and 300 μL, significantly reduced pain and the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6. Additionally, HPH decreased the expression of GFAP and Iba-1 in the spinal cord, indicating protection against peripheral nerve damage. The findings suggest that HPH effectively attenuates inflammatory pain by inhibiting cytokine activity and protecting peripheral nerves.
