research Study on Samprapti of Khalitya with Special Reference to Alopecia and Evaluation of Upasaya with Bhringarajadi Taila
This study investigates the effectiveness of Bhringarajadi Taila in treating Khalitya, an Ayurvedic condition akin to alopecia. Conducted as a randomized open-label single-arm clinical trial with 40 patients, the study assessed hair fall, new hair growth, and scalp condition over 30 days. Results showed that 20% of patients experienced remarkable improvement, 42.5% had moderate improvement, 32.5% had mild improvement, and 5% showed poor improvement. The study concludes that Bhringarajadi Taila is effective in managing Khalitya by reducing hair fall and promoting hair growth.
