    A Congenital Melanocytic Nevus (CMN) is a type of mole that is present at birth. These moles are formed by an overgrowth of melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing pigment in the skin. CMNs can vary in size and color, and while most are benign, larger ones may carry a higher risk of developing into melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
