medical imaging technique using X-rays for detailed internal images

A CT scan, or computed tomography scan, is a medical imaging technique that uses a combination of X-rays and computer technology to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body's internal structures. It provides more detailed information than standard X-rays, making it useful for diagnosing a variety of conditions, including tumors, internal injuries, and bone fractures.
