benign skin tumors originating from hair follicles

Fibrofolliculomas are benign skin tumors that originate from hair follicles. They typically appear as small, flesh-colored or white bumps on the face, neck, or upper torso and are often associated with Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome, a genetic condition that can also increase the risk of kidney cancer and lung cysts.
