January 2024 in “ACS Nano” This study investigates the potential of two-dimensional biodegradable black phosphorus nanosheets in promoting large full-thickness wound healing through in situ regeneration therapy. The research highlights the nanosheets' positive bio-effects on angiogenesis and anti-inflammatory abilities, both in vitro and in vivo, using a rat wound model. The findings demonstrate that black phosphorus nanosheets enhance anti-inflammatory responses, angiogenesis, collagen deposition, and skin re-epithelialization. Additionally, multiomics analysis reveals that these nanosheets activate the JAK-STAT-OAS signaling pathway, improving cellular function and mitochondrial energy metabolism in endothelial cells. The study provides a theoretical basis for using black phosphorus nanosheets as nanomedicine for tissue regeneration in complex pathological environments.
