nutrient-rich oil extracted from Prunus dulcis seeds
Almond oil, often referred to as sweet almond oil, is a nutrient-rich oil extracted from the seeds of the Prunus dulcis tree. It is widely used in skincare and haircare for its moisturizing and nourishing properties, thanks to its high content of vitamins E and A, fatty acids, and antioxidants. Bitter almond oil, derived from a different variety of the same tree, contains amygdalin and is typically used for its fragrance rather than for topical application.
