condition where blood sugar levels drop below normal
Hypoglycemia, also known as low blood sugar, occurs when the glucose levels in the blood drop below the normal range, typically less than 70 mg/dL. This condition can cause symptoms such as shakiness, sweating, confusion, and in severe cases, loss of consciousness. It is often associated with diabetes treatment but can also result from other medical conditions, excessive alcohol consumption, or prolonged fasting.
