appearance of ovaries with many small cysts
Polycystic Ovarian Morphology (PCOM) refers to the appearance of the ovaries when they contain a large number of small cysts, typically more than 12 follicles measuring 2-9 mm in diameter, or an increased ovarian volume greater than 10 cm³. This condition is often associated with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal disorder that can lead to irregular menstrual cycles, infertility, and other metabolic issues.
