    A Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy (BSO) is a surgical procedure in which both of a woman's ovaries and fallopian tubes are removed. This operation is often performed to treat or prevent certain medical conditions, such as ovarian cancer, endometriosis, or severe pelvic inflammatory disease.
