rare inflammatory condition with fever and painful skin lesions
Sweet's syndrome, also known as acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis, is a rare inflammatory condition characterized by the sudden onset of fever, elevated white blood cell count, and tender, red or purple skin lesions, typically on the face, neck, and upper limbs. It is often associated with underlying conditions such as infections, malignancies, or autoimmune diseases, and can be treated effectively with corticosteroids.
