severe skin reaction causing widespread cell death and skin detachment
Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) is a rare, life-threatening skin condition characterized by widespread skin cell death, leading to the detachment of the epidermis from the underlying dermis. Often triggered by a severe reaction to medications, it presents with symptoms similar to severe burns, including extensive blistering and peeling of the skin, and requires immediate medical attention.
