Yaz is a brand of oral contraceptive that contains a combination of drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol. It is used to prevent pregnancy and can also be prescribed to treat moderate acne and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in women who choose to use an oral contraceptive for birth control.
