5 / 1000+ resultsresearch Mechanically Robust MXene‐Metal Polyphenol Network Hybrid Interfaces for Multifunctional Protection of Keratin Fibers
This study presents a novel coating for hair keratin fibers using delaminated Ti3C2 MXene nano-sheets combined with metal-polyphenol networks (MPN) made from multivalent metal cations and tea catechin, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). The coating provides multifunctional protection, including UV screening, rapid thermal dissipation, enhanced mechanical strength, reduced charge accumulation, and sustained antioxidation activity. Additionally, it restores the wettability of human keratin fibers. This robust and bio-compatible coating method offers a significant improvement over conventional haircare products and can be applied to other 2D nanomaterials for bio-interface protection.
research Malate-Based Polyester Chemically Shielded Metal–Phenolic Networks Coated with Long-Lasting Antimicrobial and Anti-Inflammatory Performance for Infection Prevention in Artificial Hair Fibers
A special coating was made for artificial hair fibers that can slowly release silver ions for up to 56 days, providing long-term protection against bacteria and inflammation.
research Reproductive health screening for endometriosis, reduced ovarian reserve, polycystic ovary syndrome and the most common sexually transmitted diseases
Screening for reproductive health issues like endometriosis, PCOS, and STDs is crucial for early detection and prevention.
research The use of anabolic androgenic steroids: A focus on polypharmacy
Using high doses and multiple drugs with steroids is risky and should be prevented.
research A cornerstone of hematological science
The document concludes that accurately identifying leukemia types is crucial, and the risks of cancer from finasteride need careful evaluation against its benefits.

5 / 1000+ resultscommunity Are the japanese Finasteride 10 year studies even relevant to caucasian men - especially young ones?
The conversation is about the effectiveness of hair loss treatments, specifically finasteride and dutasteride, in different populations. Some users believe that the results of Japanese studies may not be relevant to Caucasian men, especially young ones, and that East Asians may respond better to these treatments. Others argue that clinical studies should be the basis for decision-making, while acknowledging that individual responses to medications can vary.
community MPB since 16. 31 now, recovering from PFS, and getting back in the game.
User experienced hair loss since 16, used Fin, Minox, and Nizoral with success but stopped due to side effects. Now using Pur D'or shampoo, Rogaine foam, scalp massages, volumizing spray, and dermarolling for hair maintenance.
community 21M with a nasty case of MPB; Heres what's on my radar for the future.
Hopeful treatments for hair loss, including Verteporfin, Androgen Receptor Degradation, and SCUBE3. These treatments offer potential solutions to slow or stop the effects of androgens on the scalp.
community People who don’t experience MPB just have no idea what it’s like.
Hair loss affects self-esteem and mental health, with treatments like finasteride and minoxidil commonly used. People feel misunderstood by those without hair loss and seek more empathy and better treatment options.
community Why does MPB only affect the scalp
Male pattern baldness (MPB) may be influenced by androgen receptors in scalp hair follicles and potentially poor blood flow. Transplanted hair is not immune to DHT, and factors like inflammation and scalp tension might also contribute to hair loss.
