The NFAT (Nuclear Factor of Activated T-cells) family is a group of transcription factors that play a crucial role in the immune response by regulating the expression of genes involved in T-cell activation and differentiation. These proteins are activated by calcium signaling and are essential for the proper functioning of the immune system, as well as being implicated in various other biological processes such as development and tissue repair.
