This study investigates the link between granulosa cell pyroptosis and oocyte endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in a mouse model of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It was found that high androgen levels induce pyroptosis in ovarian granulosa cells, leading to increased ER stress in oocytes and a reduced oocyte maturation rate. Treatment with cyproterone acetate (CPA) and the pyroptosis inhibitor disulfiram (DMF) significantly reduced the expression of pyroptosis-related proteins in granulosa cells and ER stress-related proteins in oocytes, resulting in improved oocyte maturation rates. These findings suggest that targeting granulosa cell pyroptosis could be a potential therapeutic approach to enhance oocyte maturation in PCOS.
research Induction of hyperandrogenism and insulin resistance differentially modulates ferroptosis in uterine and placental tissues of pregnant rats
HAIR may cause fetal loss by triggering different cell death processes in the uterus and placenta.

Stress can lead to hair loss by affecting hair-follicle stem cells, and this loss is harder to recover from if one has male pattern baldness (MPB). Treatments like finasteride and minoxidil are used to address hair loss, but stress-related hair loss differs from androgenic alopecia.
community Simulative evaluation of taurine against alopecia caused by stress in Caenorhabditis elegans. - PubMed
Taurine shows potential in combating hair loss caused by chemical stress, especially when combined with other treatments like finasteride. Finasteride demonstrated better stress-reducing effects in the study.
community Stress make you more androgen sensitive
Stress can increase androgen sensitivity, potentially worsening hair loss. Treatments discussed include Minoxidil, finasteride, and RU58841.
community I am RESTLESS and not STRESSLESS due to my issues of TRESSLESS :(
A female user is experiencing severe hair loss, especially at the crown and front, with broken and dull hair despite using Moroccan oil, shea moisture shampoo, and coconut oil. She seeks recommendations for a clinic or doctor as previous doctors attributed the issue to stress but offered no solutions.
community Regrowth from just fin after high stress and SSRI side effects?
A 22-year-old experienced significant hair loss due to high stress, SSRI side effects, and Androgenic Alopecia, and has seen some regrowth after starting finasteride and using ketoconazole shampoo. They are inquiring if continued use of finasteride and stress reduction alone can lead to further hair regrowth.
