antiviral drug that inhibits viral RNA replication

Ribavirin is an antiviral medication used to treat a variety of viral infections, including hepatitis C and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). It works by inhibiting the replication of viral RNA, thereby reducing the viral load in the body. While effective, it can have significant side effects and is often used in combination with other treatments.
