May 2026 in “Riset Informasi Kesehatan” This study explored the formulation of a shampoo using candlenut oil, known for its potential hair care benefits. Various concentrations (6%, 12%, 18%, and 24%) were tested for their physical properties. Results indicated that higher candlenut oil concentrations led to a more intense yellow color and reduced foam stability. Only the 12% concentration (Formula 2) met the required viscosity standards, making it the most optimal formulation for shampoo preparations. All formulations were within the acceptable pH range for topical use.
