TLDR Combination therapy with dermatocosmetic and photodynamic therapy is more effective for hair growth than minoxidil or booster alone.
The study assessed the effectiveness of combined therapy for androgenetic alopecia using specialized dermocosmetics and photodynamic therapy (PDT) compared to monotherapies. Conducted over 6 months with 102 participants, it found that the combination therapy significantly improved hair density and reduced single follicular units more effectively than either treatment alone. Both minoxidil 5% and Tri-energy factor 5.5% concentrate showed improvements, but the addition of PDT yielded the highest increase in hair density, suggesting its superior efficacy and potential as a promising approach for managing androgenetic alopecia.
