    TLDR Minoxidil treatment increased hair growth for up to 5 years, requiring twice daily application.
    This text is about a study done on men with androgenetic alopecia, where they were treated with topical minoxidil for 4½ to 5 years. The results showed that hair regrowth peaked at 1 year but there was still an increase in nonvellus hairs beyond the baseline count at 4½ to 5 years of treatment. It also found that twice daily application of the medication was necessary to maintain the new growth.
