A 2% Oleosome-FGF-2 Fusion Extract Scalp Serum Improves Photo-trichogramDerived Hair Density, Anagen/Telogen Ratio, Hair Shaft Thickness, and Scalp Barrier Parameters in Women with Shedding-Prone Hair: A Randomized, SingleBlind, Placebo-Controlled Pilot Study

This pilot study involving 40 women with shedding-prone hair demonstrated that a 2% Oleosome-FGF-2 fusion extract scalp serum significantly improved hair density by 33.5%, increased the anagen/telogen ratio by 17.0%, and enhanced hair shaft thickness by 10.6% over 84 days compared to a placebo. Additionally, the serum improved scalp hydration by 22.2%, reduced transepidermal water loss by 27.2%, and decreased sebum levels by 30.2%. These results indicate that the serum effectively enhances hair growth and scalp health, although further research with larger, double-blind trials is recommended to confirm these findings.
