TLDR A-PRF reduces pain and complications after wisdom tooth removal.
The study investigated the effects of Advanced Platelet-Rich Fibrin (A-PRF) on postoperative complications following mandibular third molar odontectomy in 100 healthy patients. The research group of 50 patients received A-PRF, which significantly reduced pain, trismus, edema, and analgesic intake on the 3rd and 7th days post-surgery compared to the control group. A-PRF also reduced bleeding time and the occurrence of hematomas. The study concluded that A-PRF effectively minimized postoperative discomfort and complications, proving to be a valuable and safe material for clinical use.
