Therese Anne Limbana OMS, Caleb Sooknanan OMS, Maria Simona Pino
Lichen planopilaris (LPP) is a severe form of hair loss caused by an autoimmune response, and JAK inhibitors have been identified as the most effective treatment option. This literature review analyzed ten recent studies and found that JAK inhibitors are effective in managing LPP. However, concerns remain about the long-term safety of these drugs, and further research is needed to address these gaps and confirm their effectiveness in treating LPP.
