TLDR Alopecia Areata Incognita causes sudden hair loss in young females but usually has a better outcome than other types.
The case report discusses Alopecia Areata Incognita (AAI), an uncommon subtype of alopecia areata that primarily affects young females. Unlike the typical bald patches seen in alopecia areata, AAI is characterized by sudden and intense diffuse hair loss. Despite its severity, AAI generally has a more favorable prognosis compared to other forms such as alopecia areata totalis, universalis, and ophiasic areata.
