The review provides a basic diagnostic algorithm to help pediatricians identify the causes of hair loss, conduct essential laboratory tests, and refer patients to appropriate specialists. Management strategies for pediatric alopecia involve interdisciplinary collaboration among pediatricians, dermatologists, endocrinologists, and psychologists.
