    TLDR Scalp cooling can help prevent hair loss during chemotherapy.
    Chemotherapy-induced alopecia was a temporary but emotionally distressing side effect that could lead to treatment refusal. Although hair regrowth was typically possible, it often took months, exacerbating psychological distress. In recent years, scalp cooling systems, or cold caps, emerged as a promising strategy to prevent or reduce this hair loss. The review analyzed evidence on the effectiveness of these systems, which showed encouraging results and were increasingly being integrated into clinical practice.
