Alopecia Universalis After COVID-19 Vaccination: Case Report and Literature Review

This document reports a case of a 44-year-old female who developed severe and rapidly progressive alopecia universalis (AU) after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Alopecia areata (AA) is an autoimmune disease that can lead to hair loss in patches, complete scalp hair loss (alopecia totalis), or loss of both scalp and body hair (AU). The study explores existing medical literature to investigate the potential association between COVID-19 vaccines and the onset of AU and AA, with a focus on the timeline and clinical presentation of these conditions.
