TLDR The gel with apigenin and celery juice improved hair growth in rats without causing skin irritation.
The study investigated the effects of a gel containing apigenin and celery juice on hair growth and skin irritation in male Sprague-Dawley rats. The irritation tests showed that none of the gel formulations caused significant skin irritation (p>0.05). The gel with apigenin and celery juice significantly promoted hair growth (p<0.05) compared to the untreated control. Apigenin alone also significantly increased hair thickness (p<0.05), while celery juice alone did not have a significant effect on hair thickness (p>0.05). The study concluded that the gel with apigenin and celery juice enhanced hair growth in rats compared to the control.
