TLDR Trichoscopy is useful for assessing androgenetic alopecia severity but can't determine hair loss stage alone.
The study assessed the correlation between trichoscopic features and histomorphological findings in 64 patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) to evaluate disease severity and treatment effectiveness. Results showed a positive correlation, indicating that trichoscopy is a valuable non-invasive diagnostic tool for assessing AGA severity and monitoring treatment outcomes. However, trichoscopy alone cannot determine the stage of hair loss, which requires global photography.
