Qian Zhang, Yunjun Liao, Feng Lu, Cai Jp
TLDR Fat transplantation is becoming important in medicine for repairing tissues and delivering drugs.
Autologous fat transplantation technology has gained traction in tissue repair and regenerative medicine due to its ease of harvest, biocompatibility, and stem cell abundance. This review highlights its clinical applications, including tissue reconstruction, alopecia management, and local drug delivery. The technique's evolution towards personalized and precise treatments, combined with multidisciplinary strategies, enhances its effectiveness in meeting the structural and functional needs of recipient sites. Future therapies are anticipated to become more tissue-specific, establishing adipose tissue as a promising platform in regenerative medicine.
