TLDR Ayurvedic treatments helped regrow hair and reduce bald patches in a woman with alopecia areata.
This article discusses a case study of a 32-year-old female with Indralupta, an Ayurvedic term for Alopecia Areata, characterized by sudden, localized hair loss. The patient underwent a comprehensive Ayurvedic treatment regimen, including therapeutic emesis, leech therapy, nasal administration with Anu Taila, and internal use of Brahmi Vati, Amalaki Rasayana, and Gandhaka Rasayana, along with topical application of Neelibhringadi Taila and lifestyle modifications. Over two months, significant hair regrowth was observed, with near-complete restoration by the end of the period and no adverse effects, highlighting the potential effectiveness of Ayurvedic therapies in managing this condition.
