TLDR Ayurvedic treatments may effectively reduce hair loss and promote regrowth in alopecia areata.
This single case study explores the management of Indralupta (Alopecia Areata) in a 42-year-old female using Ayurvedic interventions. The study highlights the application of Gunja Siddha Taila and Triphala Mashi locally, along with internal administration of Rasayana Yoga, Brihat Manjisthadi Kwatha, Saptamrita Lauha, and Samshamni Vati. These treatments aimed to balance Dosha, purify Srotas, and renew hair follicles. The intervention led to significant clinical improvements, including reduced hair fall, itching, and lesion size, culminating in marked hair regrowth and improved hair density. This suggests the potential efficacy of Ayurvedic regimens in managing Indralupta.
