The study from Professor Hyungil Jung's laboratory and TOPADUR Pharma AG introduces a novel treatment for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) using candlelit microneedles (CMNs) combined with PLGA microspheres encapsulating the nitric oxide-releasing vasodilator TOP-M119. This method addresses the limitations of existing treatments by enhancing hair growth and reducing dosing frequency, thereby improving efficacy and patient compliance without the need for adhesive patches. The in vivo results suggest that this innovative approach could offer a more effective and convenient long-term solution for patients suffering from AGA.
