Bioregenerative Applications of the Human Mesenchymal Stem Cell-Derived Secretome: Part II

    May 2024
    Vincent S. Gallicchio
This literature review evaluates the application of conditioned medium and extracellular vesicles from the mesenchymal stem cell secretome in treating various diseases in animal and human in-vivo models. It highlights the potential benefits and side effects of these therapies, discusses ongoing clinical trials, and suggests future research directions while acknowledging the limitations of cell-free strategies. The findings suggest that the mesenchymal stem cell secretome could be an effective treatment for multiple diseases, offering a promising alternative to traditional stem cell therapies.
