Conducted with 210 participants aged 18-30, the research found that 60% of the women received recommendations from social media influencers, while only 16.2% consulted doctors before using biotin supplements. The primary motivation for biotin use was aesthetic benefits, particularly hair growth (35.7%). The study concludes that social media significantly impacts biotin consumption, highlighting the need for improved digital health literacy and public health education to promote safe supplement practices.
