Candida Folliculitis in Heroin Addicts: Histological Study

    TLDR Candida was found in most heroin users with folliculitis.
    The study conducted a histopathologic examination of five parenteral heroin users with candida folliculitis. Candida was identified in four of the cases, with pseudohyphae observed within the hair, on the keratin of the infundibulum, and within the abscess surrounding the hair follicle and horny layer. Additionally, blastospores were found in one arteriole of the dermis.
