TLDR Coping style affects mental health and quality of life in Indian women with PCOS.
This study investigates the coping mechanisms and quality of life among Indian women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), a chronic endocrine disorder. It highlights the significant psychological impact of PCOS, which includes increased levels of anxiety, depression, and stress. The research emphasizes that the coping style, particularly disengagement coping, plays a crucial role in influencing these psychological factors and the overall quality of life for women with PCOS. The findings underscore the importance of addressing psychological health in managing PCOS, as there is no cure, only management through lifestyle and psychological interventions.
