Cyclodextrin-grafted polysaccharides are highlighted as innovative materials that enhance the solubility and delivery of hydrophobic molecules, combining the molecular recognition of cyclodextrins with the stability of polysaccharides. This review discusses the structural characteristics of cyclodextrins, their modification methods, and their immobilization onto polysaccharides. These hybrid systems have significant applications in both the biomedical field, as advanced drug delivery platforms, and the environmental sector, where they efficiently treat wastewater by removing organic pollutants and heavy metals. The review underscores the potential of these materials as sustainable solutions to clinical and ecological challenges.
