TLDR Herbal oils healed a boy's deep burn quickly and effectively.
A case report of a 10-year-old Yemeni boy with a deep partial-thickness burn on his forearm showed that conventional treatments failed to promote satisfactory healing. However, the application of a novel herbal extract oil mix, "Kadi," led to complete re-epithelialization within 7 days, significantly faster than expected. The treatment resulted in excellent cosmetic outcomes with minimal hyperpigmentation and no hypertrophic scarring. This suggests that Kadi herbal oils could be a promising alternative or adjunct therapy for burn management, highlighting the need for further randomized controlled trials to understand its active components and mechanism of action.
