The study aimed to assess the demographic characteristics of contact dermatitis associated with coloured and perfumed hair oils (CPHOs). It found that the incidence of dermatitis decreased with age, with coconut, almond, and amla oils more commonly affecting individuals under 40, while olive oil-induced dermatitis was exclusive to those aged 18-25. The study highlighted the influence of cultural practices on health, suggesting a possible link between CPHO use and contact dermatitis. This observational study underscored the widespread cultural practice of hair oil application and the evolving patterns towards using CPHOs.
