The pilot study conducted in a region of the Russian Federation analyzed dental implantation results through a survey of dentists, focusing on complications, treatment tactics, and the role of vitamin D3. The study found no significant difference in complication rates between surgical and prosthetic visits, with complications occurring in 0-3% of cases. There was a low frequency (up to 20%) of laboratory assessments for mineral balance, and regenerative and resection methods were preferred over implant removal for treating peri-implantitis. The study concluded that there was a low awareness among dentists about the link between vitamin D3 deficiency and implantation complications, highlighting the need for further research and clinical guidelines.
