TLDR Depression is more common in infertile women with PCOS than those without.
This study investigated the frequency of depression and anxiety in 99 infertile women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and 96 infertile women without PCOS at the Ardabil infertility center. Using the Beck standard test, it was found that 38.4% of women with PCOS experienced depression compared to 15.8% of women without PCOS, indicating a significant relationship between depression and PCOS. Additionally, 94.8% of the participants had a low level of anxiety. The findings highlight that depression is more prevalent and severe in PCOS patients compared to non-PCOS infertile patients.
