    TLDR Taking dutasteride every other day works as well as daily and better preserves sexual function.
    A study conducted on the effects of dutasteride in combination with alpha-blockers for patients with lower urinary tract symptoms/benign prostatic enlargement found that administering dutasteride every other day is as effective as a daily dose in reducing prostate size. Additionally, the every-other-day dosing schedule better preserves sexual function compared to daily dosing.
