TLDR Combining PRP with LLLT works best for hair loss.
This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of non-surgical treatments for androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in men and women by analyzing eight studies, including one clinical trial, five randomized controlled trials (RCTs), and two non-RCTs. The treatments examined included five-alpha reductase enzyme inhibitors, minoxidil, Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), and Concentrated Growth Factors (CGF). The review concluded that combination therapies, particularly those involving PRP with LLLT, showed superior efficacy compared to standalone treatments for AGA.
