TLDR The combination of zinc sulfate and calcium pantothenate effectively controls early-stage hair loss.
The randomized controlled trial involving 73 women aged 15-45 over 4 months compared the effects of zinc sulfate, calcium pantothenate, their combination, and 2% minoxidil solution on hair loss. All treatments positively impacted hair density and thickness, with the most significant density increase in the minoxidil group and thickness increase in the pantothenate group. The combination therapy group had the highest satisfaction rate (85%). The study concluded that the combination of zinc sulfate and calcium pantothenate, administered as pulse therapy, was an effective and well-tolerated option for controlling hair loss, particularly in its initial stages.
