TLDR Adipose-derived stem cell exosomes are more effective and satisfying for treating hair loss than minoxidil.
This study assessed the effectiveness of adipose-derived stem cell exosomes (ADSCE) in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA) compared to minoxidil in 90 patients over 12 weeks. The ADSCE group showed significantly better results in hair diameter and count, with measurements of 88.8 ± 15.6 μm and 28.5 ± 5.8, respectively, compared to the minoxidil group. Patient satisfaction was higher in the ADSCE group, with 97.8% "very satisfied" versus 33.3% in the minoxidil group. Although mild pain and swelling were more common with ADSCE, no serious adverse events occurred. The study concludes that ADSCE is a more effective and satisfactory treatment for AGA than minoxidil, suggesting it as a promising alternative for hair loss management.
