Assessing the Efficacy of Follicular Unit Extraction in Beard and Moustache Transplants: A Comprehensive Analysis of 300 Cases

The study assessed the effectiveness and safety of the follicular unit extraction (FUE) technique in beard and moustache transplants, involving 300 patients at Richardsons dental and craniofacial hospital. The results indicated that FUE is a reliable and safe method, with favorable outcomes in terms of scarring, comfort, and recovery. While pinpoint white scars were observed in 29 cases, no other postoperative complications such as infection, necrosis, or numbness were reported. Overall, the FUE procedure is deemed effective for facial hair transplants.
